The British Damage Management Association
The BDMA is the certifying body for damage management professionals.
The association sets standards and provides training and accreditation for practitioners and others across the wider insurance industry who are involved in the recovery and restoration of damaged properties.
The BDMA`s goal is to drive high industry standards and advocate best practice for practitioners to provide superior consumer solutions. The association aims to be a focal point for communication, training, standards, transparency and professionalism within the industry. In 2015, the BDMA worked with The BSI to develop the BS12999 - the British Standard for Damage Management. It provides a code of practice and common framework that can be followed by damage management practitioners and acts as a source of reference for third parties, incident owners, businesses and members of the public.
