Sensors for Water Interest Group
"A Water Utility is inundated with oceans of data daily, it can therefore be very difficult to sort the ‘wheat from the chaff’ and leverage relevant data to enable effective decisions.
The activity to translate data into meaningful information involves key steps including- access to data centrally; combined with relevant data to produce analytical insights; incremental development of architecture to improve data quality and real-time visibility.
Considering the complexity of rapidly changing customer demographics, an evolving asset base and the historic siloed data stores, it might seem overwhelming to harness the opportunity of data. However, approaching the problem with a portfolio of value cases would justify each incremental investment to leverage data and turn this into meaningful insight to enable effective data driven decisions."
