Factoring in residual risk at individual property level
Last year''s flooding shows how flood defences can be over-topped. Mary Dhonau has always warned that flood defences only reduce the risk and do not take it away entirely. Mary will talk about what individual home owners can do to reduce the impact a flood can have at individual property level, using case studies and examples of both resistance (trying to keep the water out) and resilience (minimising the damage a flood can have if water does get in).
